Agreeing on a development-based process objective or problem-based process goal

At this point, the coach and coachee have agreed on a focus for the session. The next step is for them to agree where they are going with this focus. In development-focused coaching I call this a ‘development-based objective’, and in problem-focused coaching, I call this a ‘problem-based goal’. I will discuss these separately in this chapter.
