ABSTRACT

A new method for the design of weave patterns is proposed. It uses the visual similarity between the musical scores and the weave diagram. The design method explains the background of the idea, transformation techniques, and determination of both warp and weft repeats. The assessment of the new weave patterns is presented. The chapter presents four designs, based on famous musical pieces and songs, describing in detail different approaches for transformation of the musical scores. The application of the method and future directions of the work are discussed.
