ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we report the presentation of a clinical case. Paul, a child aged 9 with a diagnosis of ODD, was accompanied through a therapeutic course in a setting of individual therapy based on the principles and procedures explained in the previous pages.

Paul attends the fourth year of school. He lives with his mother, a clerk, his father, an electrician, and his brother, Matthew, who is 5 years old. The first time I (V.M.) see him, Paul is taciturn and hardly open to a relationship: he reacts to my attempts at conversation in a surly way or does not answer at all, deviating to other topics.

In this chapter, to support the work carried out, we also report evaluations performed before and after the intervention used to assess the efficacy of the course.
