ABSTRACT
The fifth chapter elaborates on the idea of the state and statecraft and discusses how variables of morality, order and power were interpreted, inter-related, interconnected to each other within the Kautilyan understanding of the state and statecraft. The role, meaning and significance of morality, power and order at the internal and external level are discussed.
