ABSTRACT
When I was asked to edit this volume on automated acquisitions, I was pleased, as this is an area of acquisitions which I find very exciting. With so many developments happening almost on a daily basis, I see automation as the focal point of acquisitions and the area in which so many changes are occurring. Automation is changing the face of acquisitions as we know it, and making the future both uncertain and yet exciting.
