ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 describes structure of the Primary Account Number (PAN). It elaborates on contents of magnetic stripe tracks, provides description of different types of card verification values, including algorithms for their calculation, and then provides an overview of various types of transactions, PAN entry modes, conditions at the point of sale and handling of PIN verification.
