ABSTRACT
When I was a student, my teacher would talk about the play we were bringing to the stage, he would liken it to a gift intended for the audience. It could bring joy or awareness, but something had to be given in return for the audience’s generous bestowal of their attention. His question to us: What gift are you giving your audience?
