ABSTRACT
As actors, we perform with an ensemble in front of an audience. At any given moment, we must be aware of ourselves, the other actors, and the people who are observing us perform. We play each moment as truthfully as we can, without becoming self-conscious, presentational, or so focused on the onstage action that we exclude our audience. It is a true balancing act, and we are perfectly equipped for it.
