ABSTRACT

Based on the developed rehabilitation system and control strategy illustrated in former chapters, the detailed condition and requirements for patients with lower-extremity motor injuries such as stroke have been illustrated. Moreover, based on the different requirements in the rehabilitation process, effective passive and active rehabilitation strategies are generated, and the progressive rehabilitation strategy is also proposed to increase the treatment performance, safety, and comfort during the process. Meanwhile, the intelligent management method has also been proposed for the medical resources including the rehabilitation robot to increase the utilization ratio of medical resources to provide better treatment for more patients in time. At last, the safety, usability, and effectiveness of the developed rehabilitation system have been proven through preliminary clinical experiments.
