Anti-inflammatory, detox, and ketogenic diets have become very popular, but the perceived benefits of these misguided dietary habits are easily explained, and, as usual, are simply related to some misunderstandings. Certain foods will neither inflame you nor cleanse you, and what basic physiological needs are not being met by their various dietary protocols. And, if those physiological needs are not being met, what are the potential long-term health consequences?
