ABSTRACT

A facilitator/instructor can assist participants in learning how to function effectively in teams. Teams must learn how to evaluate the interactions that occurred in reaching a decision and then refine their interaction skills the next time they perform an exercise. This chapter provides lesson plans, including suggested time allocation for training sessions on building continuous quality improvement in the private or public sector organization. Quality bucks are not only fun, but they also serve as an important reinforcement to participants: their quality ideas make a difference. The participants who learned how to work together as a team will develop clever and innovative bidding schemes and acquire the majority of the items. The chapter also discusses a method for randomly assigning participants to teams.
