ABSTRACT
In this chapter, a need of soft classification over traditional classification techniques has been highlighted. A detailed description about various fuzzy based soft classifiers such as fuzzy c-Means (FCM) and possibilistic c-Means (PCM) and their algorithm details have been discussed. In addition to this, requirements of noise based fuzzy clustering have also been discussed. Further, an improved version and a modified version of PCM classification named IPCM and MPCM, respectively, have also been discussed.
