ABSTRACT

This book had been on my ‘bucket’ list for many years. It is an astonishing work of fiction which taps into all the thousand and one fears that flesh is heir to. It touches one so deeply by its utter simplicity and honesty. There are few of us who cannot relate to its story of guilt. The uniqueness of Kafka is that he begins his tales with a climax and then works through the repercussions.

Somebody must have been lying about Joseph K, for without having done anything wrong he was arrested one fine morning.
