ABSTRACT
Introduction of Web 2.0 technologies and overview of the blogosphere with a focus on the Indian blogosphere. A review of academic work on personal blogs is provided to identify approaches and gaps in the literature. The next section focuses on explanation of the methodological approach used, studying blogs as both “site” and “text,” describing how traditional textual and content analysis methods can be adapted to blog research and the ethical and methodological challenges involved.
