ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses two broad meta-sceptical stances that may be derived from Aristotle’s work: the first takes challenges to knowledge to be puzzles that serve as spurs to epistemological investigation; the second takes scepticism to be a virtue when a mean between excessive and deficient doubt.
