ABSTRACT

In this Study it is shown which methods are available in Mathcad for the solution of equations and systems of equations, which equations could have been solved before the computer era and which ones can be solved only now. A new original method for assessing the quality of methods for solving equations based on the analysis of mosaic patterns is discussed.

Mathematics: Equation roots, zero of a function, maximum of a function, linear system of algebraic equations, polynomial, section area, types of equations, analytical methods for the solution of an equation, optimal chain line (catenary).

Physics: Path, time, velocity, equation of motion, uniform motion, alternating motion, sliding friction.

IT: Analytical and numerical solution of an equation, computer analytical transformations, Newton method (tangents), bisection method, tracing tools for numerical solutions, tracing and enlarging graphics, accuracy of solving systems of equations, color in programs.

Art: Vincent van Gogh, Landscape in the Over after the Rain; Leo Tolstoy novel, Anna Karenina; knitting art
