ABSTRACT
During the past 25 years, Swedish research libraries have witnessed three changes of catalogue code and the implementation of a computer system, first intended for integrated use but recently changed into supporting local stand-alone systems. The present code, based on AACR2, rejected 21.1B2 for serials, preferring title as main entry in all cases. The reasons for this and other changes are described, and suggestions are made regarding improvement of the system of dissemination of cataloguing information.
