ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the tasks that need to be finished in order to complete Stage 4. It describes the review and update activities that have to be applied to all the strategies created in Stages 2 and 3. The chapter examines the more typical approvals that may be required at this stage, such as that required by Building Control. It establishes what needs to be done to ensure that the technical design underpins the Sustainability Strategy, and clarifies what needs to be included in the Project Execution Plan and the Information Exchange. As the project develops, a number of strategic documents are created to assist the project team in the design of the building. The Maintenance and Operational Strategy developed during the Concept Design stage, and updated during the Developed Design stage, now needs to be reviewed and updated again in order to capture any additional detail that the specialist designers may contribute.
