ABSTRACT

Chapter four present the life stories of the twelve participants. It was evident that the context played a significant role in the life of each of the participants, which was amply vivified in their life stories. Their life stories also brought out the variations that existed in their social, familial, economic and personal contexts. Each participant’s life story was thus analysed within its own context. The presentation of data and analysis has been interwoven together to present a comprehensive picture of each participant’s life experiences. A Life experiences’ Timeline provides a comprehensive view of the significant events of each participant’s life. The life story also presents the responses to and insights drawn from semi projective tasks. A diagrammatic ‘Web of life' presents the interconnectedness of four significant processes: family life, religion, identity and schooling. Each life story concludes with key insights drawn from the participant’s life story.
