ABSTRACT

This chapter details the key ‘must have’ elements to consider when creating a proposal or tender. The documentation will have certain key words and these may be mentioned more than once. If the readers' proposal or tender is being considered by just one person, then their task is easier as they will have some idea of their particular preferences regarding the formatting of the document. The way that they package their message in their documentation may be determined by what they know about the client. The executive summary gives the reader the main contents of the document in a nutshell. If the readers receive various contributions for their document from team members they will need to edit them so that the whole submission is consistent in format and style. To keep the client’s attention when reading their document, they will need to break down the main content of their presentation into small chunks of information.
