ABSTRACT
This chapter switches registers slightly to introduce and personalise, in more detail, the remaining eleven people contained within the book. Their stories are powerful, harrowing, and dynamic, and they reveal the scathing practices inflicted upon disabled people by others. This chapter will provide powerful testimony of the violence inflicted upon disabled subjects, and this has a contemporary relevance given many jurisdictions are currently negotiating their responses to similar stories.
