ABSTRACT

This chapter summarises my main reflections and arguments contained within the book. Thorneycroft examines how abjection might be resisted and/or reclaimed and introduces more data from the participants about their experiences of resistance. Importantly, however, he concludes by arguing that resistance must be a collective practice because, after all, the various processes of abjection are collectively created and imposed. Given the multi-dimensional forms of abjection, resistance likewise requires a multi-dimensional response.
