ABSTRACT

This chapter summarizes the major points of the previous chapters. It then includes points which the book has not included, like focusing specifically on female refugees or climate change refugees. The conclusion emphasizes the role of the writer who is different from the masses of refugees moving from one camp to another. The chapter restates how this book can, by no means, include the whole refugee experience, but it attempts to integrate a distinctive area of research and study. The conclusion works to remind the reader that it is of utmost importance to provide a work that specifically focuses on the state of being a refugee. Refugees’ bodies, like dead bodies washed up on shores, become lost and disposable the minute they lose control over their destiny and the minute foreign hands have the power to shape their lot. Literature has the capacity to preserve these stories as a testimony of existence, survival, and injustices.
