ABSTRACT
This is a complete epistolary article on Wordsworth’s poetry, addressed to William Tait, editor of Tait’s Magazine. The letter remained unpublished although De Quincey’s note concerning the running title, at the top of the first leaf, and his records of the numbers of lines contained on each page show that he clearly intended the article to appear in Tait’s.
