Increased Possibilities of Sympathy in the Present Age

Published in PW I, pp. 165–7. The fragment’s themes and diction have clear affinities with those of Suspiria de Profundis and ‘The English Mail-Coach’; accordingly a date in the early or mid 1840s seems likely.
