ABSTRACT

Meaning and Thrownness, for example, fit well together, as do Subjective Well-Being (SWB) and Happiness. Although Meaning can fit into SWB and Happiness, it is not clear that it is necessary, and it is hard to see how Thrownness fits into either of them. Because Psychology and Psychotherapy have focused for long on the quantification and elimination of the negative in life experience, SWB in general and Meaning in particular have come rather late to the table of Academic Psychology. Death Anxiety is universal and has been studied outside of Psychoanalysis but also within Existential Psychotherapy. The Self-representation includes the aspect of Self that enters Cyberspace and leaves a presence there. An important way to approach the study of the kind of Cyborgs who inhabit a Cyberspace of their own creation is as ethnographers examining them from the perspective of social and cultural reporters who delineate the nature of the space and the social relations of those who inhabit it.
