ABSTRACT

Many foreign markets in the Middle East and Asia would simply not buy films that had full nudity. Obviously, many television markets would frown on nudity. Going back to Roger Corman: Director Francisco Menéndez gave an online interview about his film with Corman, Stealing Las Vegas, which proves to be an illuminating case study. The leads were new, young actors and Eric is the bigger name actor with appeal to foreign buyers that only needs to be onset for a short time. Another common misconception is that going overboard on violence and blood is a ticket to commercial success. One European agent expressed disapproval, saying that Americans did not understand that many other cultures are more sensitive to nudity and violence and less liberal in their tastes. They want more restrained entertainment.
