ABSTRACT

The conclusion summarises the preceding chapters of the book and suggests future ways of exploring these and other hyper-contemporary literature. These include a greater focus on form and genre, as well as including other discourses such as trans*, disability, ecocriticism, and posthumanism. The conclusion notes the prevalence of intersectional theories across the chapters. The conclusion finishes by confirming the end of the hyper-contemporaneity of these twelve texts. This is not a lament: All texts are hyper-contemporary until they are read and gather a critical consensus. This has now been achieved for these texts. Nevertheless, whilst the hyper-contemporary has ended for these texts, the hyper-contemporary begins for many others.
