ABSTRACT
This part introduces the basic situation and major achievements of Chinese mainland scholars in the research field of the Ming history from 1949 to 1989. It includes five aspects: social economy; political and military affairs; culture; geography and ethnic groups; and foreign relations. It comments on the relevant representative works and provides a literature review for readers to learn more about the main achievements and existing problems in the study of the Ming.
