ABSTRACT

Human beings have survived as a species not because of their strength and prowess but because of their innate ability to collaborate. Siblings naturally fight and tussle and quarrel, but they can also be extraordinarily precious friends and companions. They can look out for one another and help one another cope with the complexities of life. We seem to have lost touch with our innate siblinghood – our sense of being global siblings who live in a precious world in which we share our resources. Together we become the new generation, and if we are to live in a world that belongs to us as brothers and sisters, we need to reconnect with the ancient roots of our sibling matrix – our sense of sharing our world and our planet.
