ABSTRACT
The overview provides a general introduction to the new standards and technologies that have appeared since the first edition. The JT-NM Roadmap Architecture with SMPTE ST2110 is the approved and adopted standard for live media and NMOS specifications are for device and network management. There are more cloud-based products and services, @Home production is appearing more and Artificial Intelligence technology is supporting production. The video quality in mobile devices and increased mobile bandwidth has enabled User Generated Content (UGC) to become accepted for direct to air content. The overview covers the changes since the first edition as the rest of the book provides more detail.
