ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses some excellent examples for engaging young children in activities that will help them to learn how to learn. Making decisions and having choices are important aspects of early learning. At the end of the activity, it is usual to encourage parent's children to review their learning journey and the thinking progress they have engaged in throughout the session. To extend the activity, the Ranking Frame could be increased to a Diamond Nine format so that parent's children evaluate more cards in relation to one another at the same time. At the end of the activity, it is usual to encourage parent's children to review their learning journey and the thinking progress they have engaged in throughout the session. Allow parent's children the opportunity to reflect on the way in which they have ranked the cards and decisions they have made throughout the activity.
