ABSTRACT
The United Nations’ Social Development Goals (SDGs), along with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, provide a blueprint for the ‘decent society’, an essential element of which is sustained social inclusion. This chapter summarises some key strategies which have emerged for sustained social inclusion utilising a human rights framework. These include the construction of knowledge, use of language, promoting dignity, an intersectional lens, multilevel and multisectoral approaches, and resourcing.
