ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Shear zones are important structural elements of the Earth’s crust. Comprehensive study of the main parameters of morphology of these structures is actual because of their high seismicity level. This article shows results of the comprehensive investigations of the Earth’s crust of the World’s largest shear zones (San Andreas, Upper Rhine Graben) and results of the author’s similar study for the Baikal-Stanovaya shear zone, which is in the Far East of Russian Federation.
