ABSTRACT

Kindness and generosity can transform people’s lives. The power of generosity is not only transformative for the person on the receiving end, but also for the generous giver as well. There are some warnings to those being kind and compassionate. Encountering others who are not accustomed to a culture of generosity sometimes provokes feelings of mistrust as to the intent. There have also been nefarious misuses of giving by people with ill intent. Emotional generosity is the epitome of love that humans can show. Seeing a need and fulfilling that need. Educators must have a keen understanding of individuals and make a personal investment in working to help them to be successful. “Good” generosity should be something that truly meets a need and has the virtue of being good. “Free” generosity should not only come without a monetary cost, but also without the expectation of any form of reciprocity or quid pro quo.
