ABSTRACT

Usually refers to that part of a film’s budget that covers the costs associated with major creative talent: the stars, the director, the producers and writers. The scene description, character movement, and sounds as described in a screenplay. Sound effects and character names are all caps. Description of a specific shot within a scene. Use sparingly and only for spec scripts. Directors don’t pay much attention to specific shots described in the script. In a screenplay, the name appears in all caps the first time a character is introduced in the “Action.” The character’s name can then be written normally, in the action, the rest of the script. Continuity editing is the process of combining related shots into a sequence so as to maintain consistency of story across both time and physical location. It is about taking different shots done at different times of the day and making them seem like they are continuous action in real time.
