ABSTRACT
The Malaysian government has been affected by the increasingly challenging world environment, notably due to falling oil prices as well as the rising and falling of currencies. Universiti Putra Malaysia has also been recognized by the Malaysian Productivity Corporation with the special award Creanova Lean in 2017. The high commitment from all parties within the organization is critical to ensure the successful implementation of lean transformation management. Lean thinking is a management approach that prioritizes customer needs whether internal and external customers. Readiness includes the elements of trust, attitude and intentions of a worker on the need and ability to implement changes in an organization. Researchers contacted the respondent for their willingness to take part in the study including their supervisor at work place. The survey was administered to the participants through personal visits. The general purpose of this study was to find out the readiness to change towards lean transformation among employee in Universiti Putra Malaysia.
