ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book examines the role of infrastructure in economic growth in India. It provides an evaluation model of energy infrastructure projects. The book describes the relationship between genuine savings and public debt. It explains the impact using panel data of countries and confirms the large effect of public debt on genuine savings. The book explores marine fishery stock and its relationship to economic factors. It discusses the literature by adding natural capital as an input in estimation of productivity. The book also examines the effects of relative income in greater detail, decomposing it into a direct effect and an indirect effect through community attachment. It illustrates the life satisfaction approach to evaluate people’s preference for green space. The book aims to evaluate greenery in Tokyo in monetary value, based on the relationship between greenery types and well-being types.
