Characterization of Raw Materials and the Fresh and Hardened Properties of Self-Compacting Geopolymer Concrete

For this study, spent garnet was utilized as natural fine aggregate in place of river sand to prepare self-compacting geopolymer concrete (SCGPC) with improved attributes. The spent garnet was characterized based on its physical properties, chemical composition, and leaching behavior. It was also characterized based on its morphology and microstructure. The results for these properties are depicted in the following sections.
