ABSTRACT
Can the two worldwide systems that we all depend on for our survival work well together? To put it differently, can we stop damaging our environment and still supply at least the important goods and services we’ve come to depend on? I believe that’s the most important question of our time. My answer is, “Yes, ecological living is possible.” At least I think I can show that there are no fundamental reasons why we can’t get there, and there are good reasons for thinking that we can. I think I can also show that we can achieve the goal of ecological living without a complete overhaul of our economic system or human nature.
