ABSTRACT
I believe it is the poet’s purpose to document events both personal and public. Poetry of witness, therefore, is a foundational concept for my work. Truth is likewise an integral part of this process. “Catcalls to My Brain” deals with the manifestation of cat calls at higher levels of thought and in professional settings; the idea that cat calls continue beyond the streets.
