ABSTRACT

154 A 6-year-old female spayed Standard Poodle dog is evaluated for the complaint of progressive lethargy and exercise intolerance. Two weeks ago, the owners noticed their dog was becoming less energetic and slower on walks. She is now unable to even complete a short excursion, preferring to lie down a few minutes into the walk. Additionally, the dog has become withdrawn and demonstrates minimal interest in food. The day before presentation, she had a “collapse” event where she was laterally recumbent and minimally responsive for a few minutes before recovering.
