ABSTRACT

37 A 7-year-old female spayed Dachshund was presented with a 2-month history of inappetence and lethargy. The patient is current on recommended vaccinations and receives routine heartworm and external parasite prophylaxis. Preliminary diagnostic evaluation revealed an elevated alkaline phosphatase (5´ upper limit of normal), an elevated alanine aminotransaminase (3´ upper limit of normal), an elevated gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (4´ upper limit of normal), an elevated total bilirubin, and an elevated cholesterol. The canine pancreatic lipase activity is 50 (Reference Range: 0–200). These values are unchanged subsequent to a 14-day course of denamarin and ursodiol.
