ABSTRACT

62 An 8-year-old female spayed Labrador retriever dog is evaluated for the complaint of polyuria. The owner indicates the dog has been drinking and urinating excessively for the past 3 weeks. She is described as clinically healthy otherwise. On examination, the dog is bright and alert. On rectal palpation, the left anal sac is found to be enlarged at approximately twice the normal size; the remainder of the physical evaluation is within normal limits.
