114 A 9-year-old male neutered domestic shorthair cat presents with an owner complaint of a swollen paw and pendulous abdomen. Physical examination reveals pitting subcutaneous edema of the peripheral limbs and inguinal fat pads (Figure 114.1). The pertinent results of a routine chemistry panel, urinalysis, and urinary protein:creatinine are given below.
