ABSTRACT

117 A 7-year-old female spayed Miniature Schnauzer presents with a history of chronic, large-volume diarrhea extending over 3 months, weight loss and highly variable (from ravenous to poor) appetite. The owner describes the diarrhea as having a “soft oatmeal” consistency, with occasional bouts of more watery stool. The stool is also yellowish in color and has a strong odor. Physical examination reveals a markedly underweight dog (BCS 1/9, Figure 117.1), with a slightly rough hair coat but is otherwise unremarkable. Routine clinical chemistry and complete blood count are unremarkable. https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429401725/9d69b4ae-80d1-4f44-9dcb-659cda134065/content/fig117_1_C.jpg"/>
