ABSTRACT

The choice voice performers make for their audience will help determine their tone of voice, attitude, and overall approach to their performance. Their one-person audience should be someonevoice performers do not know. When voice performers select someone they know as their audience, the speaker of the words becomes voice performers and their personal relationship with that individual will color their interpretation and delivery, making it considerably more challenging to create a believable performance. For every voiceover performance, voice performers will need to determine who is speaking the words in the script. This is their role in the story, or more accurately, this is the character voice performers will be playing. As with the other choices voice performers make, their choice and definition of the character voice performers are playing will have an impact on every aspect of their performance.
