ABSTRACT
Autonomous driverless cars, taxis, trucks and buses have been making rapid progress in the USA, Japan, the UK and other countries. The UK Chancellor Philip Hammond stated in 2017 that the government’s objective was to have ‘fully driverless cars’ without a safety operator, commercially on the roads by 2021. Quality management data is the data that monitors impacts on the performance of the construction processes and creating the final built environment. Helping construction personnel to better understand the reasons behind sub-standard work or heightened risks to quality standards, provides an overall improvement to construction risk management that may also feed into health and safety, environmental, security, business continuity and other business assurance risks.
