ABSTRACT

Subsea tunnel is generally large, having complex site conditions and lacking of engineering experience, the construction method is directly related to the success or failure of the project. At present, there is no metro subsea tunnel built in China. On the background of XiamenLine3subsea tunnel, construction method selection, ventilationand evacuation, complex geological response in the sea area, durability design are analyzed by geological analysis, engineering analogy and comprehensive comparison.A combination of the shield and mining methods is proposed to combine the geological conditions of different sections. The complex geology of the sea area is used in the targeted design, including a deep weathering slot, a water-rich sand layer, a hard rock and uneven stratum, and the development of solitary rocks. The durability design of the tunnel structure and the limit of the bearing capacity are treated with equal emphasis to consider reserving complementary spaces. The study method and conclusions can provide references to support tunnel project decision and similar project.
