ABSTRACT
During the excavation of the Cravasco Adit of Terzo Valico dei Giovi Project, some geological asbestos formations were intercepted.As a consequence the COCIV Consortium has designed and realized a new and complex system,technical and procedural, able to allow the continuation of the activities and at the same timeguarantee the safety of workers, of the neighborhood and of the external environment. The measures apllied, a numerous air monitoring performed within and around the jobsite, inclose combination with the complex and rigid applied protocols, added to an active dialogue held with the Territorial Supervisory Authorities, have determined the complete success of the operations, identifying solutions that were afterwards replicated on the other jobsites of the Project.
